Hello! My name is Pim and I live here at The Center for Children and Families. It's a great place to live. Things are always busy around here. There are play groups, special events, and even a lot of help for families with the Parents as Teachers Program and the Family Support Center. The FSC keeps the baby and hygiene pantries stocked are ready to help local families. There's also the Family Resource Network that keeps busy working in prevention, helping grandfamilies, and they even help with problem gambling and gaming!
Whew! This place is always busy doing something! I've lived here for quite a long time, but it wasn't until this summer that I decided that even though I'm tiny, I can help too. So, I stripped off the invisible paint and opened my door to fun. Come back each week for something new!
This week's crafty summer fun idea is from the Crayola Crayon website. Crayoloa offers all sorts of fun ideas and free printables on their website. Or you can grab a flower sheet from the box by the Center door and get coloring! Directions for flower making are below.
1. Cut out the flower and leaf shapes. 2. Glue them onto a thin piece of cardboard, such as a recycled cereal box or file folder. 3. After the glue dries, cut out the shapes. 4. Place your cardboard stencils down on paper, and trace lightly. 5. Use Crayola crayons, colored pencils, or markers to decorate the flowers. Use paint and glitter glue to add colorful centers and stems to your flowers.
